Jacoba “Cobie” Swets, nee Bykerk, age 90, of Largo, FL, formerly of South Holland, IL, went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Eugene “Gene” Swets. Loving mother of Melvin (Judy) Swets, Susan (Curt) Hillegonds, and Walter (Diana) Swets. Cherished grandmother of 8; great-grandmother of 20; great-great-grandmother of 8. Kind aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Cobie was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Visitation Monday, April 3, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN with Rev. Richard Blauw officiating. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery – Lansing, IL. Memorial contributions may be given to Empath Hospice, 2675 Tampa Rd. Palm Harbor, FL 34684.
