As a neighbor, Jimmie is what we called him, would be there for all of us in the neighborhood. He had a helping hand when ever you needed one, a smile or a wave. A person with a big heart for his fellow man. The neighborhood will miss him.

14 years (or so) ago, my son Colin walked through the doors of Xpedx/Veritiv looking to market his freight trucking business. Luckily, they brought him in as a contractor. Since he was living with us at the time; I began to hear about this impressive guy; this James Anderson, who would load him up every morning. James was this kind soul who took this nervous 21 year old "kid" under his wing and showed him the ropes- -mentored him. As a Dad, I was grateful.
So who was this heroic figure flying around the warehouse on a hi-lo? I was to find out that it was just James being James.
I began working with Colin soon after and finally got to meet James. What followed was a years long friendship with someone we considered to be among the best of us; and we felt so lucky to know him. We shared humor, our common political beliefs, family values, philosophies of life.
Since our family tends to wear our feelings on our sleeves, I know that James knew how important his friendship was to us. We told him so. He knew we loved him. We told him so.
Thank you, James for your kindness, compassion, good humor, friendship.
This place is lonelier without you.
Sweet James. We miss you. We're lost.
Our deepest condolences to all of James' family and friends.
