Dear Aunt Mary Rita, Laura, Maureen, Anne and family, I think of Uncle Jimmy whenever I reflect back on my beginnings in recreational volleyball. I think of my dad bringing me over to the grammar school to play volleyball in the gym with his peers from the neighborhood and one crazy uncle who drove over every week from the west side of Cleveland. I remember Uncle Jimmy less from the volleyball and more from the recreational time after volleyball, in which he was always a core member sustaining the group camaraderie. He reminds me volleyball is for friends to have fun together. That's a tradition I still carry with me to this day, even though now I am the sixty-year old playing with people the age of my children, just like Uncle Jimmy did with me. I really appreciate him initiating me into that tradition of family, friends, and fun, though I couldn't appreciate at the time how significantly he was paying it forward. Like Kathey said, "may God hold all of us in the palm of His hand." Love, John and Elizabeth

Dear Mary Rita and family, We are praying for extra peace, comfort and strength for all of you in the days ahead. It was such a blessing to be next door neighbors to Jim and Mary Rita on Arthur Avenue in Lakewood over twenty five years ago. Jim will be greatly missed by many and we will always remember him fondly. With our deepest sympathy, Scott, Cindy and Brian Grove

The proof of a life well lived is the tribute to Mr. Fallon that appears on this site. What a dear, sweet soul. His lasting legacy is his wonderful family who carry on his example of what it truly means to be a disciple of Christ in such a quiet, gentle manner. May he rest in peace. My prayerful support is yours.

Jim was the nicest, kindest person we ever encountered in this lifetime. We have been living in the Seattle area for the past seventeen years and did not get to visit with him but my husband often talked of Jim and what
a positive influence he had on his life. They became friends while teaching together in the Westlake school system. We know how much he will be missed by his beloved wife Mary Rita, and their wonderful children and grandchildren. His twinkling irish eyes were always smiling.
