As a loving husband, father and proud Papa, James Diedrich Goldhammer passed away unexpectedly on April 7th, 2024.
James was born on January 6th, 1961 in Casa Grande, Arizona and lived in Ehrenberg, Arizona with his parents, two brothers, sister and his Grandma Blair right next door. James graduated from Parker High School in 1979 and began working as a cook at the Blythe Jack-N-The-Box and Village Inn which was the start to his 32 year career as a supervisor cook at the Chuckawalla Valley State Prison where he retired from in 2019.
James moved to Blythe in 1991 with his wife Debbie and two daughters Kris and Jennifer. He enjoyed listening to loud music, playing basketball, watching car races, white water rafting and anything sports related to his girls and grandkids. After retirement James enjoyed reading his Stephen King books, spending time with his great grandkids and taking Debbie on cruises all over the world.
James leaves behind his wife Debbie of 33 years and their daughters Kris and Jennifer. He was a proud Papa to six grandkids, Taylor, Bri, little Hector, Jordan, Haylee and Ana. As well as his eight great grandkids, Rayven, Sofia, baby Hector, Catalina, baby Adrian, Ayden, Cristian, Ariel and of course his dog, Marley. James shared his love with so many others, including his brother and sister, his eight nephews, five nieces, ten great nephews, eleven great nieces and all of his cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother Ramona Goldhammer, his father Bob Goldhammer and his brother Heyo Goldhammer.
James, you will be forever loved, missed and always in our hearts.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 19th at 10:00 a.m. with funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m., all held at Frye Chapel. Committal services and burial will follow at Palo Verde Cemetery.
