James E. Haas Sr.

1944 - 2017

James E. Haas Sr. 72 of Lockport, NY husband of Ruth (Champion ) Haas entered into rest on Friday June 09, 2017 at Niagara Hospice House. Born on June 18, 1944 in Chaumont, NY to the late Louella Haas. Jim worked for and retired from Calspan Corporation where he was a machinist. He served in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1965. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing also a love for animals and the outdoors. Jim shared his medical struggle with long time friend Bruce Ainsworth and they talked often up until Bruce's passing.
Surviving is his wife Ruth; a son James II (Keri) Haas ; two daughters Jameen (Ronald) Cumbee and Renee Haas. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and twelve great- grandchildren.
Friends may call on THURSDAY June 15, 2017 at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME INC. from 5-7 PM. A memorial service will follow at 7PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094.
