James's Obituary
Mr. James Robert Patterson, 78, entered into rest Monday October 20, 2025 at Medical Center Health. James was born October 28, 1946 to the late J.L. Patterson and Beatrice Vinson Patterson in Bowling Green, KY.
James graduated from High School and was Drafted to the United States Army where he served in Vietnam War. He received several medals, one being a Purple Heart. He was Baptized at an early age, where he became a member of the Blue Level Baptist Church.
James was employed at Bowling Green Area Vocational College for many years. He also enjoyed being around family and friends. He loved his family very much.
James was united in holy matrimony to the late Barbara Rutherford Patterson who preceded him in death. He leaves three children to mourn, three daughters, Katrena Patterson of Russellville, KY., Aldean Bowman, Tonjanika Hart (Tyrone) of Bowling Green, KY., and one son; Trebor Patterson (Donia Massey) of Bowling Green, KY.
James has 16 grandchildren: QuaNeisha Turner, Khalil Bowman, TiAvion Patterson, Tre’Quon Patterson, Timitryi Patterson, Tre’Onte Patterson, Tylan Barnett, TaNaijsha Patterson, Amaria Rhodes, Treson Rhodes, Teagan Rhodes, Wick Lightfoot, T’Lee Patterson, Tre’Nail Patterson, Ky’Stamion Kawai and Johnny Tsik-Patterson. Seven Great-Grandchildren. He also leaves a host of cousins, friends and family.
