Jane Seibel Obituary

Jane Roma Seibel, age 74, of Blue Grass, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2026 at Hickory Creek Event Center, Davenport.  A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m., following the memorial service.  Private family burial will take place in Walcott Cemetery at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.

Jane was born on November 21, 1951, the daughter of George and Janice (Pagel) Golinghorst.  She graduated from Davenport Central High School.  Jane married Ronald Seibel on August 28, 1971 in Davenport.

Jane dedicated much of her life to caring for others, both personally and professionally. She worked as a talented hairdresser from her home in Blue Grass, where she formed lasting friendships with her clients. She also served as a phlebotomist with the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center, retiring in 2013 after years of compassionate service.

A proud member of Lambda Phi Sorority, Jane cherished the lifelong bonds she shared with her friends.  She also cherished spending time with her childhood friends, affectionately known as the “Forever Friends,” whose bonds remained a constant source of joy and support throughout her life. Jane found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She took great pride in her flower gardens, where her care and attention brought beauty to those around her. Jane enjoyed boating on the river and was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs football fan. She was a dedicated supporter of her children and grandchildren, rarely missing a sporting event or school activity.  She loved visiting local farmers markets, where she was surrounded by familiar faces while enjoying a Cherry Bomb Blonde. Above all, Jane’s greatest joy and priority was her family. She will be remembered for her warmth, her kindness, and the deep love she gave so freely to those around her.

Jane will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ron; two daughters, Jill (Randy) Soenke of Muscatine and Tracy (Eric) Ludtke of Bettendorf; six grandchildren, Corbin (Tabitha) Soenke, Logan (Taylor) Soenke, Sydnee (Josh) Brus, Rylie Devlin, Austin Hodges and Xavier Ludtke; three great grandchildren, Lillian, Charlotte and Lane; a sister, Patti (Chris) Heimbold of Minneapolis, Minnesota; two brothers, Robert Golinghorst and Richard (Mary) Golinghorst, both of Walcott; her sister-in-law, Donna (Roland) Paper; and her brother-in-law, Ed Voss.

Jane was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Kelly and Jodee; sister, Diane Golinghorst; sisters-in-law, Marcia Golinghorst and Connie Voss; and brother-in-law, Rick Seibel.
