As a long time neighbor of Ms. Janice, I can see her standing at the front door excitedly handing out candy Halloween night to children who have now grown up. I also see her tending to her flowers while sitting in an old wooden rocking chair with the rockers removed. It’s not the same to look at that house now but Heaven has gained a beautiful soul that can tend to flowers pain free now.

I worked with Janice at both Howe and Codington, and I don't think I have ever known someone who was a better advocate for children, as well as being a great teacher. I am sorry for the family's loss.

If I could be there in person on Tuesday, I would. But I will be there in spirit and will be walking this painful path alongside you. I send my love. A lifetime of memories so precious to me. Yet an eternity awaits filled with anticipation. I can still do the last thing she asked of me and I will in her memory.

It was an honor to be your daughter-in-love. I pray to one day be half the mother-in-love you were to me. Your love and light will live on. Love you more.

Mom,
As time passes...the next few days, weeks and months, you and dad will remain the strongest influences in my life because as my mom you helped teach me to be the man and father that I am today and I that is the best part of me.

I know in my heart you are now healthy, happy and at peace with Jesus, I miss you and it's so hard but I will hold all the memories and special moments we shared together with your unconditional love close to my heart.

Your joy and peace now is ever lasting in heaven with dad and our family that has gone before us. I will see you again one day.
Love you more,
Scott
