Janice Kiefer Obituary
Janice M. (Krause) Kiefer, 79, of Allentown, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in her home, after a long and courageous battle with ALS. She was the wife of William E. Kiefer III, to whom she was married 48 years. Born in Allentown, January 24, 1947, Janice was the daughter of the late Alvin N. and Mary E. (Weaver) Krause. A graduate of the former Allentown School of Nursing, Janice was a registered nurse at Lehigh Valley Hospital, working mostly in the employee health department for many years before retiring.
Survivors: In addition to her loving husband, Bill; sons, Scott W. Kiefer and his wife, Michelle Issadore of Souderton, Steven G. Kiefer of Kutztown; grandchildren, Sasha and Elliott Kiefer and Olivia Kiefer; predeceased by sister, Carolyn L. Steele.
Service: A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 20, 2026 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, 4906 Route 309 Schnecksville. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
