Javez J. "Baby J." Stevens, Jr.

2024 - 2025

On July 18, 2025, the Lord called home one of his most precious angels, six-month-old Baby Javez Jamonte Stevens, Jr. of Franklin, VA. He suddenly departed from this world at Bon Secours Southampton Medical Center while he was surrounded by family who loved him dearly.

“Baby J”, as he was affectionately called, was born on December 28, 2024, at 8:48 A.M. to Tayania Rogers and Javez Stevens, Sr. He really was a loving bundle of joy.

Baby J was such a sweet, loving, and smart boy. He could brighten any room with his smile and his energy could change anyone's day. He was truly an angel on earth.

Javez Jr. leaves to cherish his memories: his loving parents, Tayania Rogers and Javez Stevens, Sr.; brother, Ja'Vion Brown; maternal grandparents, Tara Artis and Brian Rogers; great-great grandmother, Dorothy Banks; paternal grandmother, Jamie Waithe; great grandmother, Carla Jones; aunts, Tiara, Imani, Starkima, Zamaya, Kaoir and Mizani; uncles, Jonathan, Paquan, and Derrielle; devoted cousin, Khloe; godmother, Achyna; and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be held 3:00 P.M., Friday, August 1, 2025, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, Pastor Keith Jones, eulogist, Pastor Janet Flowers, officiant. The interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
