Jeffrey Don Ford went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 13th, 2022 in Abilene, Texas after battling a long illness. Jeffrey was born on July 26, 1964 in Midland, Texas, to Jefferson Lamar Ford and Estelle Ely Ford-Marshall. He was raised in Midland Texas and worked the majority of his adult life in the oilfields of West Texas.
He is survived by one daughter, Brittany Ford and her spouse, Oliver Gomez; and the light of his world, his grandson, Kai Gomez of Arlington, Texas. He is also survived by his stepfather, George (Bill) Marshall of Bronte Texas, two sisters, Cathy Cannon and husband Gerry of Weatherford, Texas; Julie Carroll and husband Brent of Midland, Texas, one brother, Michael Ford and wife Paula of Haslet, Texas. Numerous nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by both his parents.
If you knew Jeffrey you were blessed, his love for others was unexplainable. He was a kind and loving father to his daughter, Brittany and loving grandfather to his grandson, Kai Gomez. Kai was his world and then some.
To celebrate Jeffrey's time spent here with us we will be holding a memorial service on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 11:00 am at Redeemer Church 126 N Judd St. Fort Worth, TX 76108. Following will be a graveside held at Beth Haven Cemetery at 3pm; 8646 County Road 355 Stephenville, TX 76401.

I'm so sad about hearing this. Jeff was such a special guy in our lives. He always called Charlie and me "Momma" and "Dad" after his natural parents passed. I will miss his phone calls every Christmas, Mother's Day, Easter and Birthday so much. Charlie and Jeff played many a game of "Ka Dee Ball" in our backyard (and enjoyed many a can of beer while doing so).

My deepest sympathy goes out to all of the Ford family. I will remember Jeff fondly as my next door neighbor, a young teen who was always coming to visit his sister and I, with a smile on his face and laughter in his heart. I'm so saddened by your passing, Jeffery. Too young. Too loving. Too much yet to see and do. I will pray for your grandson and daughter that they never forget any of their memories of you and can relish them for a very long time. Celebrate the reunion you are sure to have with your mom and dad. Rest in peace, Jeffery. You will be truly missed.
