Jeffrey D. Honors

1970 - 2024

 

Jeffrey Dwayne Honors was the only child born to the late Jesse Honors and Margaret Ann Burton Honors on August 10, 1970.

Jeffrey was educated in the Bronx district of the New York City school system.  In 1987, he and his mother relocated to North Carolina after the passing of his father.

A devoted son to his mother, family often referred to them as “two peas in a pod.”  Jeffrey was living with his mother and assisting in her care at the time of her passing in June 2023.

Left behind to cherish his memories are four aunts: Gertrude M Davis and Willie M Burton-Houpe (Jerry) both of Charlotte NC; Patricia B. Cowan (Roger) of Salisbury NC and Bettye R Kirkland (Thomas) of Durham NC; one great uncle:  William Ross of Georgia and two special cousins, Kimberly Curry and Mason Burton that were always there for him along with a host of other relatives and friends.
