My heart and prayers go out to Ada and A'Kedra, I know they were the center of Jeff's world. You knew that whenever you got the chance to see Jeff you were going to hear great stories about A'Kedra, laugh until you cried and get carried away by his sense of humor.

Jeffrey Scott Waddle “Pookie”, age 55 of Somerset, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Jeffrey was born on July 23, 1969, in Cincinnati, OH, the son of Kenneth Perry Waddle and Carol Berniece Bullock Waddle. Berniece later married Blaine McHargue. Jeffrey was baptized at the age of 12. Jeffrey obtained a Bachelors Degree in Broadcasting and a Masters Degree in Counseling. He was a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. He worked for New Vista Oakwood. He was united in marriage to Ada Cowan Waddle and they have shared 22 years together.
Jeff was highly intelligent and had a unique sense of humor….He said he had never had his picture taken so many times until we got together!! He was devoted to his family, he worked hard to take care of them. A’Kedra will always be “Daddy’s Girl.” Jeff enjoyed watching Tic Toc videos on his phone, playing video games and participating in role playing games. He also enjoyed spending time with his grand-dog “Scooby”.
Jeff, you no longer have to do laundry, listen to Law and Order “da dum” all night!! You have finally gotten to retire…. you don’t have to worry that your income will meet the bills….. if A’Kedra will do well in college….. Thank you, my husband, my provider, my protector, my home doctor…… You are loved and you will be missed until we meet again.
Survivors include his wife, Ada Waddle; his daughter, A’Kedra Law; his uncle, Earl (Brenda) Bullock; cousins, Shannon, Melanie, Logan (Olivia), Keegan; his stepdad, Blaine (Phyllis) McHargue (Blaine’s step-children, Wayne Stevens and Lisa (Michael) Foor); his cousin, Elizabeth Sizemore; his mother-in-law, Nina Cowan; his grand dog Scooby; a host of extended family members, coworkers and friends who are saddened by his passing.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his biological father, Kenneth Waddle; and his mother Carol McHargue; and his grandparents, Hoover and Lucille Bullock.
Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, July 24, 2025 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm and again on Friday, July 25th from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Hwy 80, Somerset, KY 42503. His funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Elder McDowell Miller officiating.
Following the service, there will be a repass at Immanuel Baptist Church, 808 Bourne Ave, Somerset, KY 42501.
