Jerry Prenger Obituary
Jerome E. ‘Jerry’ Prenger, age 62, of Coldwater, died Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. He was born August 9, 1957 in Coldwater, to Mildred D. (Winner) Prenger and the late Leonard Prenger. His mother survives in Coldwater. On October 23, 1982 he married Diane (Severt) of Coldwater. He is also survived by a son Brennan Prenger of Coldwater; siblings and in-laws: Mike & Pat Prenger, Marilyn & Dennis Berning, Tom & Marty Prenger, Rita Prenger, Kathy & Chris Evers, Paul & Kathy Prenger, Betty & Brian Anderson, Janet & Doug Fledderjohn, Theresa & Gary Diller, and Karen & Mark Overman, Joseph & Peggy Severt, Charles & Ann Severt, Peggy & Tom Berning, Fred & Brenda Severt, David & Gail Severt, and Shirley & Dan Siefring. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a son Jarrett Prenger and a brother Joseph Prenger and his mother and father-in-law Alvin & Mary Ann Severt.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater and a graduate of Coldwater High School Class of 1975. He was employed at Cabinetry by Ebbing. Jerry very skilled and loved woodworking and nature.
Due to COVID-19 a private family Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater with live stream at http://www.coldwatercluster.org/node/29. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater. In Lieu of flowers family request mass stipends. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.

You have my deepest sympathy on Jerrys passing . I have a lot of special memories of growing up on Vine St . Playing baseball in the Summer , building clubhouses , playing basketball at our court , the park and the West Gym , and just being ornery boys . Jerry was a big part of these memories . He was a great neighbor and more important a good friend . May he rest in peace .

My heart goes out to you. Met Jerry in 2006 at Cabinetry by Ebbing. We worked together on a lot of jobs at times over the next 10 years - mostly back plash tile and tile floors. He was truly an expert cabinet maker. I found him to be kind, helpful, and a good friend. You may remember me as I was at your house picking up a bandsaw that he gave to me. Sorry that with the current situation I cannot see you in person. My thoughts and prayers are with you and you family.
