Jerry Dale Reents

1935 - 2025

Jerry Dale Reents, 90, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away December 31, 2025.  Jerry was born April 13, 1935, in Hopkins, MO, to Carl J. and Nedra (Nickles) Reents.

Jerry served his country honorably for five years in the U.S. Navy between the Korean and Vietnam Wars. 

Prior to retirement Jerry was an estimator for Seaman & Schuske Metalworks.  He was a member of Faith and Wisdom Church in Branson, MO;  American Legion; Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #2  and Tin Can Sailors.

On September 19, 1958, he married Nancy Lee Wallace in Maryville, MO.  She preceded him in death on August 24, 2021.  Also preceding him in death were his parents; brother Carl Reents; two sisters Carol Lou Koepke and Rita-Kay Safar.

Survivors are son Bob Reents (Lori); daughter Robyn Stablein (Robert); grandchildren, Jeremy Reents, Emily Stablein and Melanie Dearman (Thad); 2 Great Grandsons - Jackson and Hudson; and other relatives and friends.

Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, photography, gardening, bird watching, camping, cooking and being an active part of a local church.  He enjoyed family gatherings, the yearly vacation with his wife and kids and enjoyed all the friends he made along the way.

Services will be Friday, January 9th, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.  Interment and full military honors will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.  

Visitation will begin at 11:00 am one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
