Easley
Joann Campbell Buckley, 61, of Easley, wife of Warren D. Buckley, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 after a courageous five year struggle with cancer.
Born December 7, 1952 in Perry County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of Gora Combs Campbell of Peru, IN and Lindon Campbell of Rowdy, KY. Joann graduated from MC Napier High School, and the University of Kentucky, receiving a degree in Medical Technology. She was a beloved and long term employee of St Francis Hospital, Greenville, SC serving as supervisor of the Blood Bank.
She was married to Warren D. Buckley for thirty five incredibly rewarding years. In addition to her devoted husband and parents, she is survived by her son, Bryan D. Buckley (Alyssa) of Champaign, IL; daughter, Brooke D. Buckley O?Friel (Patrick) of Easley; brothers, Kenneth Campbell, Garry Campbell, and Greg Campbell, all of Kentucky; and grandson, Bradley D. Buckley, of Champaign, IL.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, June 20, 2014 at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Institute for Translational Oncology Research (ITOR) of Greenville Health System (GHS) or a local Hospice.
Condolences may be expressed online at www.robinsonfuneralhomes.com or in person at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road, which is assisting the family.

To Warren and Family,
I worked with Joann at St Francis and allow me to say that she never met a person she didn't like. She was so wonderful . I never got to see her after moving back from NY, but I am sure that she was happy for Jack and me. How could she not be? She was always joyous for anyone else's happiness. Will miss her when I visit St. Francis...she was a light that powered the whole lab.

I have thought of Joanne so many times through these years after MC Napier as I forever cherished our friendship there. Joanne was someone that lives in your heart forever as she demonstrated the highest form of integrity and character. I loved her dearly. My heart is heavy to hear of Joann's passing. I had many classes with her throughout high school at M.C. Napier and we were in the same graduating class of 1970. She was such a wonderful person and was adored by everyone. My prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

I DIDN'T WORK UNDER JOANN AND IV'E ONLY WORKED AT ST FRANCIS FOR 3 1/2 BUT JOANN WAS SO KIND, CONSIDERATE AND FRIENDLY TO LIKE SHE HAS KNOWN ME FOR YEARS. When I worked at Greenville Hospital, you used to talk about Joann. You described her beauty and how lucky you were to have married her. You described her love as a wife and mother. When I moved over to St Francis and finally met Joann, I felt like I was meeting royalty. She was everything you described.
