I was so saddened and shocked when hearing of JoAnne's death! I was a student in several of her Watercolor classes in Dubuque and a long time admirer of her beautiful paintings. She truly brightened the world with her happy smile and quirky humor. She was so giving of her incredible talent. I learned more from JoAnne than any other Art teacher I ever had! I was so looking forward to learning more from her. She was always so complimentary of her family. Rest in peace, JoAnne! You will be missed by so many.

JoAnn was a breath of fresh air with her wonderful smile and laughter. I had the great privilege to take many art lessions from JoAnn. She had a gift for teaching that was amazing, and she was always so generous to share her great talent. Her fabulous paintings resembled her wonderful positive look on life and how much she loved people. She will be truly be missed but never forgotton. I wish the best for her family through this healing process.

I am so sorry and saddened by the news. JoAnne and I go way back, over four decades. Remember many good times and watching her blossom into the fantastic artist she became. Joanne's wonderful smile and beautiful watercolor paintings will be deeply missed in the world. I am so glad that I got to know her through the years. My thoughts are with her family and friends. I know how much I will miss her stories and laugh at art fairs.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the close friends and family of Joanne. I only met her a couple of times but felt like I knew her for a lifetime. I was comfortable around her and she gave a warm feeling to my heart. I have 2 pieces of her art work and will keep them forever where I can see them everyday. Hugs to all of you. Always remember the good times and it's ok to cry.

She was a great aunt, and she inspired and encouraged my interest in art my whole life. I know she made an impact in my life, and that she also inspired many others. I loved her so much, and I will miss her a lot.

This has hit us all so hard. I can't believe my first born niece is gone. My thoughts these past few days have only been of her. I'm so sorry for your great loss. I will always remember JoAnne as being such an "up" person with a smile always on her face. I will miss visiting with her at art shows and seeing her latest masterpieces, and having her stay with me on occasion when there was a show nearby. My prayers have been for her & you.

JoAnne, you will be greatly missed. When Mom called and told me the news I couldn't believe what I was hearing. All the thoughts came back of the countless trips to the beach we took. You would always take me out into the deep water when Mom couldn't and you always helped me build the coolest sandcastles! When you moved to WI it was hard on us. I missed seeing you and "Fer Fer" all the time. I wish I had the chance to come out to see you and Christopher before this all happened. I will love you forever.
