Derry- Joanne Lee, age 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15th at Elliot Hospital in Manchester.
She was born in Boston, MA the daughter of the late Leo and Anne (Martin) Frawley. She grew up in Roxbury, MA and graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke High School in Dorchester.
She was a nurse for almost 50 years working for many years at Parkland Medical Center.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert C. Lee, and her brother Leo Frawley.
Survived by her 4 sons, William J. Lee and his wife Gratia of Lowell, MI, Christopher A. Lee and his wife Eva of Derry, David M. Lee of Raymond, and Steven P. Lee and his wife Ola of St. Augustine, FL; her 7 grandchildren, Jacob, Samuel, Beatrice, David, Robert, Zoya and Samantha Vinagro; and 2 great grandchildren; and 2 brothers, David Frawley of Canton, MA, and Dennis Frawley of East Hartford, CT.
Visiting Hours will not be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 25th at 11 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 180 Loudon Road, Concord.
Graveside services will follow at 1 PM at the NH Veteran’s Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
Joanne had many close friendships throughout her life. She was deeply committed to her family and her life as a nurse.
