Joanne W. Masone

1938 - 2021

Joanne W. Masone, age 82, of Selbyville died Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center Tidal Health of Salisbury.  Joanne was born in Long Branch, NJ and was the daughter of the late John and Sarah (Van Brunt) Wolcott. 

She was a retired registered nurse from Morristown Medical Center.  Joanne was a member of Sweet Adeline’s, Pine Tones Chorus, Red Hats, Ocean Pines Community Church Choir and was very active with the Pines Players. 

She is survived by one son, Vincent J. Masone Jr. (Marlene) of East Hanover, NJ; one daughter, Betty Jo Salomon (Robert) of Byram Township, NJ; one sister, Judith Esterly (Carl) of Wolmesdorf, PA; a half sister, Dorothy Picket of Sarasota, FL; four grandchildren, Vincent Masone III, Alex Masone, Amanda Boccardi (Guy) and Nicole Salomon; three great - grandchildren, Mason, Landon and Colin Boccardi.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent J. Masone Sr. in 2016 and her brother, John Wolcott.

A funeral will be held 11:30 AM on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home, 19 S. Main Street in Selbyville.  Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.
