Joanne T. Parish

Joanne Theresa Parish, 87 years old died November 24, 2025,at Allure of MT Carrol, IL.  Joanne was born October 4, 1938, in Columbus, OH to Bernard and Mary Elizabeth (Lowery) Horvath. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Thomas Horvath, one sister Barbara Hamilton, two daughters Denise Boley & Stephanie Hess and her loving husband Charles Parish.

She is survived by one brother Eugene Horvath, 8 children Raymond (Felicia), Mark (Kathy Geertsma), Matthew, Vincent (Robin Thompson Russell), Ben (Lori) and John (Kristy) Gaus.  Two daughters, Katerina (Rick) Voeltner and Babette Gaus.  She is further survived by 21 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Joanne enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, baking and decorating cakes, gardening, crocheting, playing the piano, and singing in the church choir. She loved her farm and raising the animals. 

Funeral Services are being held at ST Wendelin's Catholic Church, 18 S Linn ST, Shannon IL 61078, December 3, 2025.  Viewing will be from 9-11:00 AM with a funeral service at 11:00.

Burial will be December 4, 2025 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E Broad ST Columbus OH 43213 at 11:00 AM.
