I met John over 20 years ago shortly after he moved to the Wilmington area. He loved life and was always a joy to be around. I loved hearing him share stories about fishing. Most importantly he proudly let you know he was a Christian who believed in Jesus. He will be missed by all.

Pop pop- I know you are in a better place now. We will all miss you so much. I will miss coming down stairs in the mornings and hearing you sing the Miss America Song. I will miss sitting outside on the porch with you & all your goofy jokes. Holidays won’t be the same with out you. Love you- Megan

I will miss John terribly, he was more a brother than brother-in-law. He checked on me weekly since his younger brother, my husband Sam went into a dementia care center. My thoughts and prayers are with Betty,Amy, John111 and his grandchildren who he was so proud of. ❤

John was a wonderful man and I feel so lucky to have known him. He will be so greatly missed. It’s hard to imagine TPC without him. His friendship, advice, cheerful servant spirit and good nature have meant so much to me and the Church. As a man of great faith he is now with his savior. I hope that provides comfort to his family.
