just want to tell Cindy how much I admired John. it wasn't always like that.But within a short time he showed me what a great guy he was and I could never tell you how much I admired him. He proved himself over and over. I will miss him much. Love you Cindy

JOHN's Obituary

Mr. John J. Keys Jr., 78, passed away November 9, 2016 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.

John was born in Fort Howard, Maryland and lived in Vero Beach for 56 years coming from Fairfax, VA.

He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, then joined the Washington D.C. Police Department where he served until the Marine Corps called him back to duty to serve in the Vietnam War.

John later joined the Indian River County Sheriff's Department until he began his own heavy equipment business John Keys Crane Service until his retirement in 2004.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years Cindy Keys of Vero Beach, daughters Kelli Keys, Margaret McCain both of Vero Beach and Carla Seither of Mandeville, Louisiana, stepsons Joshua Young of Jacksonville and Luke Keppel of Fellsmere, stepdaughter Tiffany Beam of Sebastian.

A Celebration of Life including Military Honors will be held on Saturday November 26th 2016 at 1:00 PM at Dale Wimbrow Park 11805 Roseland Road, Roseland, Fl 32958.
