John Kovacs, February 27, 2012, Age 89, Late of Homewood, Formerly of Markham, Beloved husband of Grace Kovacs nee Helsing. Dear father of Leon (Stephanie) Redman and Mary Denise (the late Michael) Nemitz.
Cherished grandfather of Dr. Mark (Rachel) Redman, Laura Redman, Tracy Nemitz and Tina Nemitz.
Great grandfather of Samuel, Grace and Hannah Redman.
Preceded in death by sisters, Rose Kovats, Ann Glass, brothers,
Frank, Anthony, Leslie, Joseph,
Louis, Alex and Andrew Kovacs.
Survived by nieces and nephews.
Retired from Andrew Corporation.
World War II US Army Veteran, served in Pacific-Asiatic
Theater receiving 2 Bronze Battle Stars. An avid golfer and member of Hole In One Club. Visitation at the Ryan Funeral Home, 18022 Dixie Hwy. Homewood, Friday from 4 to 8 pm Funeral Saturday, 9:15 am to St. Gerard Magella 3536 W. 161st St. Markham. Mass 10:00 am.
Interment St. Mary Cemetery.
