John Krisko, affectionately known as “Pip,” passed away on June 29, 2025, at the age of 21 in Hallstead, Pennsylvania.
John was a talented and passionate chef at The Montrose Inn, where he took great pride in his craft and was known for his dedication and work ethic. He also was a proud member and volunteer Fireman at the Snake Creek Fire Department. Beyond his professional life, he enjoyed hiking, physical fitness, and spending time in nature—pursuits that reflected his appreciation for life's simple, grounding pleasures.
John will be remembered most for his kindness, his sense of humor, and the genuine warmth he brought to every interaction. His presence brightened the lives of those around him, and his loss is deeply felt by all who knew him.
He is predeceased by his father Nicholas A. Krisko. He is survived by his mother Melody, three sisters Melody, Ryder and Angela, a brother in-law Avon, three nephews Revyn, Jystus, and Jaxon, and a niece Kyleece. His bonus family from California and Niagara Falls, Marie, Jason and Cohen. His loving and dedicated dog, Apollo and cats, Jasmine and Willow. Two bonus moms Brenda and Beckie Rose and numerous friends, which there are too many to mention who will forever cherish his memory.
John's life, though brief, was filled with love, laughter, and a lasting impact on his family and friends. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Services for John will take place on Saturday, July 5th 1pm-4pm at The Montrose Inn, 458 S. Main St., Montrose, PA.

So very sorry to hear of John’s passing. I remember him as a sweet boy in elementary school. It sounds like he grew into an amazing young man. May he rest in peace, and may his family and friends find comfort in happy memories.
