John Proffitt Obituary
John Proffitt,73,passed away Sunday August 2,2020 after an extended illness. Born in Asheville, NC, he had been a resident of Newport News for over 60 years. He retired as owner of J&J Auto Repair with 50 years in the repair business.
John is survived by Judy Proffitt, his loving wife of 46 years. Also, his son, John, Jr; Daughter-in-law, Ellen; grandson, Tyler; and brothers, Bill Proffitt, Rick Proffitt and Larry Proffitt and their families. He is greatly missed by all.
The family wishes expressions of sympathy to take the form of contributions to the Hospice House of Williamsburg. 4445 Powhatan Parkway, Williamsburg,Va 23188.
