 Mr. John Michael Wineburg

Mr. John Michael Wineburg, age 67, was born on September 16, 1958, a native and resident of New Orleans, LA, entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at his residence. John was a graduate of Alcee Fortier Senior High School Class of 1976.  He was a man of few words, who had a deep love for working on cars, and motorcycles. Throughout his health challenges, John remained a dedicated provider maintaining a comfortable life for himself and his wife of 30+ years.  There was no job too big for him to attempt.  He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Ruth Wilbur Wineburg; three brothers, Carl Peter Wineburg (Conchetta), Clarence Paul Wineburg, Robert Wineburg (Lisa), one sister Arlene Wineburg-Nash (James); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wineburg and Bartholomew (Bert) Wineburg, and his sister-in-law, Paulette Simon Wineburg.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, 2120 Jackson Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70113 at 12:30 p.m. Visitation from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.  Followed by Interment on Monday March 16, 2026, at All Saints Cemetery, 9502 Harold Landry Rd., Loreauville, LA. at 11:00 a.m. You may sign the guest book on www.gertrudegeddeswillis.com.  Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, Inc., in charge (504) 522-2525.
