Joseph "Carl" Lozano, Age 75
On November 6, 2023, we lost our Hero.
Carl passed away peacefully at home in his sleep.
Born the baby of the family on August 22, 1948, in Greeley Colorado to Lucy and John Lozano.
Their family would live in both Durango and Las Vegas Nevada.
Raised in Durango Colorado, Carl graduated from Durango High School in 1966.
After high school Carl enlisted in the US Army and served from Killeen Texas.
After an honorable discharge, he moved back to Las Vegas with his wife Linda, of 54 years to build and
raise their family and remain in Las Vegas, until the end of his days.
Through the years in Las Vegas he was a father figure to many, MANY of his children's friends and loved
and influenced them all like his own. He has a very big extended family all over who love him and have been deeply impacted by his generosity of spirit. To all of them he will always be "Mr. Lozano."
You couldn't meet him and not instantly fall in love with his soul.
Carl worked for M.S. Concrete in Las Vegas for 38 years, along side his brothers, cousins, sons and nephews and made many cherished friends in his co-workers whom he loved and admired.
He retired but never stopped working. He would help everyone and anyone he could that needed him.
Carl's had a trememndous hand in raising his grandchildren and great grand children whom he loved and adored.
He is preceeded in death by both parents, Lucy and John, older brothers, Joe and Sam and older sister Mary.
Carl is survived by his wife Linda, sons Mario and Armando, daughter Samantha, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren
two older brothers, Albert and Ted, four older sisters, Juanita, Linda, Millie, Sylvia, and Evelyn. Carl and his two older brothers were married to Linda and her two older sisters, so he is also survived by MANY neices and nephews and their spouses on both sides who are also very much his own.
In the end, we can only truly say, Carl was "a gift". We love you Dad.
"And now, his watch has ended..."
Our only consolation when we lose a loved one is that they are only lent to us for a little while and we have to give them back when it is time.
That knowledge doesn't lesson the pain we endure, it only helps us to somewhat understand...
