dear family of Joe & Elsie,
I knew both your mother and father many, many years ago...I was in high school at the time and joe and elsie were working at Yinglings grocery store in Bellaire...I lived in the back of the store in an upstairs apartment...I remember going in the back door of the store and joe would be cutting up meat..there was a lot of sawdust on the floor as I walked to the front..elsie would be waiting on customers up front..my mother would give me a store note for groceries...when I was 16yrs old I began working on Saturdays there from 8am to 6pm..as a cashier...I had to sit up on a stool as I was short..joe would wrap the meat, give the customers money to me,and I would make change..I think the pay was a $5.00 for the day..
your parents were wonderful people...and I just wanted to share this memory..I am 82yrs old and live in warwood....may he and Elsie rest in peace.

Brenda and Nettie,
My deepest sympathy to your family in the loss of your father. I have wonderful memories of the farm and your parents and your grandparents. I always looked forward to visiting your family with my grandmother Hanson and she enjoyed your family so much. Just looking at their picture brings back warm memories. I will never forget their kindness and friendship. We will be praying for your family during these difficult days. God Bless
