Joseph Nicholas Salvo of Berwyn, PA passed away on February 6, 2026 at the age of 70. After a long illness, Joe died peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Born in Philadelphia, to the late Harriet Marrone Salvo and Cosmo Anthony Salvo, he grew up in the Wayne/Strafford area and graduated from Conestoga High School. He is survived by his two daughters, Allison Salvo Coe (Tyler Coe) and Haley Salvo (Vincent Colibraro), as well as his former wife, Cynthia Salvo Locke, and his siblings; Serena Salvo, Laura Ward (late Boyd Ward), Anthony Salvo, Paula Salvo (Ralph Arroyave), and Nicholas Salvo.
Joe was an entrepreneur, having had ownership of an auto repair shop in Coatesville, PA, and a nautical retail shop in Ocean City, MD, along with two marinas and two restaurants in Southern Maryland. He was an excellent mechanic and professional painter. After retirement he moved to Berwyn, PA to be closer to his daughters and family.
Joe enjoyed dancing and cooking and was an avid golfer and worked at the Doral Golf Club in Miami for a year. He enjoyed creating custom golf clubs and was a golf instructor at Myrtle Beach one winter. He loved being around the water, boating, fishing, water skiing, taking the girls on boat rides, and relaxing at the beach. He and his family traveled to many warm destinations and went skiing in Colorado. He was a dedicated and loving father, as well as a good friend to many. He will be missed greatly and remembered fondly by those he touched during his lifetime.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joe’s life celebration service on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 12 Noon at the Mauger-Givnish Funeral Home 24 Monument Avenue Malvern, PA 19355, where friends may visit from 10:30am-12 Noon. His interment will be private.

Prayers to Allison, Haley, Cindy and all of Joe’s siblings and extended family. I know it’s been hard for everyone the past few years. Joe is at peace now and in turn hopefully, this will allow the family to attain peace as well.
