Sending my heartfelt condolences and prayers to Ms. Josie Betts family and friends. While working at TWW and Associates I had the privilege of meeting and getting to know Ms. Josie. Never once did I hear anything negative come from her nor about her. She was truly a woman of God.

Mrs. Betts, a.k.a Mama Betts, was truly one of a kind. She was always ready with a warm smile and a kind word for everyone she met. More than just a neighbor, she was considered family to many of us, and her presence will be deeply missed.
It will be difficult to drive down Van Dyke and not see her sitting on the porch during the summer months, as she so often did. I fondly recall the Sundays when she would call our home and say, "Tell Missy, Chris, Jeff and Eric to get back to church." She always knew who was there-even when they thought she didn't.
Mama Betts was the neighborhood mother-the kind many of us were blessed to grow up with, and the kind that is all too rare today. Her wisdom, warmth, and unwavering presence made a lasting impact on everyone around her.
She will be truly missed.
May she rest in peace.
