Karen Handerhan Obituary
Karen L. Handerhan, 58, of Mercer, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025 after an extended valiant battle surrounded by her family. Karen was born in Jeanette, PA in Westmoreland County on April 14, 1966 to the late Hugh John and Suzanne Marie (Danahey) Handerhan.
Karen worked as a legal secretary and was a notary. She was of Catholic faith.
Surviving is her sister, Diane (Leo) Parola in Greenville, PA, three brothers, Joe (Tina) Handerhan in Santa Barbara, CA, John Handerhan in Mercer, PA and Tim (Lou Ann) Handerhan in Sharpsville, PA. She will be missed by her two nieces, Michelle Palm and Caitlin Handerhan; two nephews, Cole (Analise) Handerhan and Michael Handerhan; and one great niece, Elliott Grace Handerhan.
Karen is preceded in death by her mother, Suzanne Marie Handerhan, her father, Hugh John Handerhan and one nephew, Sean Palm.
Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA.

I'm so very sorry to learn of Karen's passing. We were such good friends as kids but had not stayed as close as adults. She was always so good about sending cards at holidays & birthday. I will miss hearing from her. My deepest sympathies to the whole family. Faith
