Karen Leigh Bailey Matherly, age 73 of Gretna passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026 at home.
Born March 7, 1953 in Campbell County, she was the daughter of the late Opal Leigh Richardson and the late Theodore Bailey, Jr. She was predeceased by her husband, Carroll Ray Matherly. Karen retired from Burlington Industries following a proud career as a weaver & loom fixer.
She is survived by her brother Ricky Bailey; two sons, Shane Ayers and wife Joy, Shaun Ayers and wife Suzanne: three granddaughters, Ryleigh, Sybil & Sydney: and her extended family the Matherly’s.
She is interred at Midway Baptist Church, forever beside her beloved husband.
