Karen L. Seitz

1956 - 2020

Karen L. Seitz, 64 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away October 30, 2020 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born May 4, 1956 in Brown County, Indiana. She was the daughter of William C. and Barbara J. (Taylor) Seitz.

She is survived by her significant other, William L. Powers of Edinburgh, Indiana, and brother, Kenny (Cathy) Seitz of Noblesville, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Karen was a lifetime member and served as president of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 233 for ten years. She was currently serving as first vice-president. Karen spearheaded our committee on raising awareness and funds for handicap children in our community. She also worked alongside the 8th Day Riders to send dozens of special needs children to camps. She also worked alongside NASCAR driver, Tony Stewart for several years raising money through the post for children’s camps. Karen worked with the local grade school to honor veterans on Veteran’s Day for over fifteen years.

A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Randy Denton with Tracy Moses being Eulogist at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Who-So-Ever-Will-Community Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Flatrock Baptist Cemetery in Columbus, Indiana.
