Karen Kay Wright

Karen Kay Wright, 74, of Balko, Oklahoma passed away January 6, 2026 in Amarillo, Texas.  Viewing will be Friday, January 9, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Perryton, Texas.   A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Perryton at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow in Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Karen was born on March 16, 1951 in Borger, Texas to Jack Wilson and Frances Keller Wilson.  She graduated high school, and she earned a college degree.  She married her husband, Tommie Wright, on January 16, 1987 in Perryton, Texas, and she was a homemaker.

Karen is survived by her husband; two daughters, Elaine Calsing and Renee Robison, both of Fort Worth, Texas; two sons, Mark Wright and wife, Sierra, of Okeechobee, Florida and Stephen Wright and wife Meagan of Perryton, Texas; and one brother, Jackie Wilson and wife Rachel of Andrews, Texas; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents.

The family requests memorials be to one’s favorite charity.
