Kate Breaux Holzenthal, 94, passed away Tuesday Morning, October 15, 2019 at 5:15AM. Kate was a native Bayou Black, LA, long time resident of New Orleans, LA resident of Houma, LA.
Family and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Chauvin Funeral from 5:00PM until 9:00PM and Friday, October 18, 2019 from 9:00AM until service time. Ministry Services will begin Friday, October 18, 2019 at 11:00AM. Internment will follow in Bayou Black Cemetery, Houma, LA after the completion of services.
Kate is survived by her daughter, Esther Holzenthal and brother, Floyd Breaux. Kate is also survived by her two pet companion, her grand-dogs, Sterling and Stewie.
Kate is preceded in death by her husband, Emile Marcus Holzenthal; parents, Rivers and Ruby Bergeron Breaux; brothers, Rivers Breaux Sr., Huey Breaux; sister, Sylvia Breaux Cox.
Kate was a member of First Baptist Church of Houma for many years. Kate had a love of gardening and planted and tended to many a flower gardens.
Kates love and care of family and friends will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

I was honored to know your mom for many years. I loved her and she and you allowed me to call her mom. I know of her love of gardening and Scotties. All her grand puppies. God blessed her with a wonderful daughter who loved and cared for her. Mom will be very missed and forever loved.
