Katherine Ann Springborn

1964 - 2025

Katherine Ann Springborn, age 61 of Manistee, MI died Friday, September 26, 2025 at home.  

She was born March 10, 1964 in Manistee, daughter of Donald J. Springborn and the late Susan (Levandoski) Springborn.  She was a graduate of Manistee High School.

Over the years Kat was employed at Martin Gas Station and Family Video in Manistee.  Her kindness and compassion for others also was expressed through her most recent employment in home healthcare.

Kat spent 20 years living in Muskegon with her longtime partner, Mitchell Burkell who survives her.  She laughed and knew love every day.  She loved life, family and their pets; of which she called her “kids”.  We will all miss her smile.  She was an avid pool player and participated in local pool leagues over the years.

She is survived by her father, Donald Springborn; sisters, Belinda Smith and Donna Hovinga; her brother John Springborn; step-sister, Shanda Sedelmaier; Her very close family members who were like brother and sister to her, her uncle Edwin (Edga) Levandoski and aunt Mary Ann Dancer; special friends and cousin, Rose Ann McLaughlin and Cathy Olsen also survive her.

In addition to her mother Susan, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Danny Springborn and Sean Springborn.

Cremation as taken place and no services are scheduled at this time.
