Kathie Diane Black

1948 - 2025

Kathie Diane Black went to be with her heavenly father with her family by her side on Thursday, December 11, 2025.      

The family will receive friends between 3 and 4 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2025 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.  Graveside services honoring Kathie will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2025 at Holliday Cemetery with Bro. Terry Grace and Bro. Mickey Miller, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.

Kathie was born on August 12, 1948 to Bill and Johnnie Baker in Sulphur, Oklahoma. She married Donald Black on October 7, 1967.  Kathie played the piano for Kamay Baptist Church for many years, and later played at Mankins Baptist Church. As a wife she took care of the home. She loved to cook for her family as well as make them gifts. Whether that be crochet, cross-stitch or something else they may think of. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Johnnie Baker; and  her husband, Donald Black. 

She will watch over her daughter, Kim Sims; granddaughters, Nicole Boyles and husband Joshua, Harley Sims and Abby Sims; her sister, Toni Mahler, her husband and girls; and many more family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Solaris Hospice, 2405 Kemp Blvd. Ste. A, Wichita Falls, TX 76309
