Kathy E. Paradie, 65, of Manchester, passed away on January 29, 2026.
A lifelong resident of the Queen City, Kathy was the beloved daughter of Thaddeus “Ted” Paradie, Jr. and Catherine (Clancy) Paradie. Deeply rooted in Manchester, she carried a strong sense of community and connection to her hometown throughout her life.
Kathy was a graduate of Manchester High School West, Class of 1979. Following high school, she continued her education at the New Hampshire Barber College, where she earned her license and began her professional career as a barber where she was known for her easy conversation. Over time, Kathy felt a calling to serve others in a more direct and meaningful way. Guided by her deep compassion and desire to help those in need, she transitioned into healthcare and became a nurse’s aide with the Visiting Nurse Association of Manchester. In this role, Kathy found her true purpose. She had a natural ability to comfort and care for others, particularly the elderly and disabled, who held a very special place in her heart.
Outside of her work, Kathy found great joy and peace in art and crafts. Creativity was more than a hobby for her, it was a passion and a form of expression. She often shared her artwork and craft projects with those she cared for, bringing moments of joy and color into their days. Kathy treasured the process of creating, fully immersing herself in each project. Her paintings, in particular, reflected the passion she carried within her.
Family members include her two brothers, Michael Paradie of Manchester and Steven Paradie of Florida; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Ted J. Paradie, and her two sisters, Rhonda Gardner and Debra L. Gardner.
Services: Calling hours are Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM at Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH 03104. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 5:30 PM.
Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford, NH, at a later date.
