     Morrisville: Keith Edward Allen, 59, of Morrisville, died peacefully, on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, in the comfort of his home with family at his bedside.


     He was born September 2, 1958 in Hardwick, the son of Paul and Hazel (Hurst) Allen. He graduated from Peoples Academy, the class of 1976.


   On May 15, 1994, he married Lisa Marie Audet in Morrisville, where they lived all of their married years.


   Keith was employed as a mechanic for several local businesses including: Mudgett-Smalley Motors, Bourne’s Service Station and Ken’s Mobil Station. He was a mechanic and Service Manager for McMahon’s Chevrolet for more than 30 years.  He also worked part time for Marcoux’s Wrecker Service and was a part time Deputy Sheriff of the Lamoille Sheriff’s Department. He also retired from the Morrisville Fire Department as an Assistant Fire Chief.


   He was a member of the Lamoille Valley Church of the Nazarene in Johnson.


   He loved spending time with his children and large family gatherings. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, football, baseball, playing pool and vacationing in Maine. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.


   Survivors include: his loving wife, Lisa of Morrisville; a son, Keith Allen II and his wife, Melissa of Chicago, IL; four daughters: Melissa Allen and her companion, James Stotesbury of Stowe, Krystal Elliott and her husband, Shawn of Hyde Park, Amber Gumbrell and her husband, George of Montpelier and Kara Allen of Morrisville; six grandchildren: Eli Hess, Drew Hess and Isabelle Hess, Parker Elliott, Jenna-liv Elliott and Quinn Allen; three brothers, Dale and Pam Allen of Morrisville, Howard and Florence Allen of Wolcott, and  Arnold and Carol Allen of Washington state; four sisters: Lois and Leo Trombley, Eleanor and Marvin Randall and Nancy Reed, all of Morrisville, Ruth and Sam McCuin of Georgia, VT; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.


   He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Kenneth Allen and a sister, Edith (Allen) Smith.


   Visiting hours will be held Sunday evening, April 22nd from 5-8 PM at the Lamoille Valley Church of the Nazarene in Johnson.


Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, April 23rd at the Lamoille Valley Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Al Lamos officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot in the Fairmont Cemetery in Wolcott.


   In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Lamoille Area Cancer Network, 198 Farr Avenue, Morrisville, VT 05661.


   Arrangements are in the care of Faith Funeral Home, 165 Brooklyn Street, Morrisville.
