In Loving Memory of Kenneth “Ken” James Fischer
October 7, 1959 – January 28, 2026
Kenneth “Ken” James Fischer, 66, of West Chester, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 28, 2026. Born in The Bronx, New York on October 7, 1959, Ken lived a full life, dedicated to his family, friends and country.
Graduated with honors in dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, Ken went on to serve as an officer in the United States Air Force from 1984 to 1992. His intelligence and leadership shone through in everything he pursued, but it was his quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and deep love for his family that truly defined him.
Ken adored spending time with his five grandchildren- Xander, Xamira, Luka, Koda, and Kenny- whether through video calls or cherished family visits. He will forever be remembered by his wife of 42 years, Cathi; mother, Marion Fischer; sister, Rae Jenkins; brother, Pete Fischer; and his children, Caiti (Dom) Korcykoski, Ken Fischer, and Kylie (Andrew) Schommer.
A celebration of Ken’s life will be held on Saturday, February 28th, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at The Amackassin Club, 557 Palisade Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10703. Family and friends are invited to gather in his honor and share stories that capture the laughter and love he brought to so many.
“Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy.”

I met Kenny when he was the driver for Gene Simmons of KISS - I would be at a party at Ace’s house and Gene would also be in attendance. Kenny would drop be home in Riverdale after dropping Gene off in Manhattan. The last time I saw him was, about 3 years ago, at a retirement party for a mutual friend in Riverdale. Such a nice guy. May he RIP.

Kenny was a great friend and his quick wit and ability to enjoy your presence defined his personality. He will be dearly missed by the WAB circle of friends and his beautiful family.

Still at a loss for words, but I want everyone to know he was the best dad I could ever ask for growing up.
