Kenneth's Obituary

Kenneth James Hicks, Sr., of Deer Park, passed away peacefully on the morning of December 3rd, 2025 at the age of 87. He was born in High Bridge, Kentucky to the late Roy and Evelyn (Upton) Hicks. 

Devoted husband of 65 years to his wife, Carol Ann (Becker) Hicks; brother of Betty Lyons of Florida; father of JoAnne (Steve) Venard, Susan (Mark) Tilley, Kenneth, Jr. (Jeanne) Hicks, and Kevin (Tina) Hicks; grandfather of Matthew (Courtney), Michael (Emma), Elizabeth, Anthony (Amanda), Jessica, Tori (Alex), Taylor (Ben), Tanner (Bobbie), and 9 great grandchildren. 

Ken retired from Duro Bag as a machinist after 34 years, often working 6 or 7 days a week. He was a skilled carpenter who enjoyed building wooden toys and heirlooms for his loved ones. Ken was curious, strong willed, friendly, and always showed his genuine interest in others.  

Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM Friday, December 12th at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. A luncheon will be held for family and friends, following the memorial service, in the community room at the funeral home until 3 PM.
