Kenneth "Ken" Ray Cook

1941 - 2021

Mr. Kenneth Ray Cook was born in Shamrock, Texas on August 14, 1941 to Lilly and Bill D. Cook and passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the age of 79.

Ken was an enthusiastic sports fan. His favorite teams were Notre Dame, Boston Celtics, New York Yankees, Green Bay Packers, and most of all his Sanger Apaches.  He was a dedicated and supportive fan of Sanger Apache Football for over sixty years. He contributed to local sports with his talents as a coach.  Over the years he coached the Sanger Seals, Rotary Little League Baseball, and Sanger Cheyenne Football.

He is survived by Sue, his wife of 60 years; son, Michael & wife, Terri; daughter, Karen; sister, Virginia Wallace & husband, Wayne; sister-in-law, Joan Moglia; and many nephews and nieces.  Ken loved his three grandchildren, Katie Dozier & husband, Sam, Emily and Brian; and his great-grandchildren, Kasen and Hunter.

As per Ken’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ken’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice.
