Kenneth C. Newhard, 97, of Allentown, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the husband of Ruth A. (Hoffman) Newhard, to whom he was married 71 years. Born in Egypt, November 19, 1928, Kenneth was the son of the late Albert H. and Pearl S. (Worman) Newhard. He was employed at Newhard Farms in Coplay for 10 years before retiring in 2004. Prior to that, he worked at Lehigh AG Equipment, Inc. in Chapmans for 30 years as a John Deere mechanic and worked on his family farm for 15 years. Kenneth was a member of UCC Greenawalds in Allentown where he formerly served on the consistory.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Ruth; sons, Ronald K. Newhard (Carrie) of Arizona, Richard A. Newhard (Nancy) of Northampton; grandchildren, Matthew, Melissa, Caitlyn, Harrison; predeceased by an infant son, Roger C. Newhard, twin brother, Curtis F. Newhard, and a sister, Van Reed Lutz.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Janet L. Newett officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at St. John’s Union Cemetery, (Mickleys), Whitehall.
