Kenneth Vondell Harper of Germantown, OH, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Laurelwood Assisted Living, at the age of 80 years, 11 months, and 23 days. Born in Morgan County, Kentucky, on April 19, 1942, he was the son of the late Georgia E. (Collinsworth) and Brondell B. Harper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Carolyn “Sue” Easterling Harper, and a sister, Lana (Ranzie) Lykins. Kenneth is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Gretta and Jim Judd, and Heather and Marc Gregg; 5 grandchildren, Tyler Judd, Megan Judd, Hannah Isaacs, Caleb Isaacs, and Sarah Isaacs; 3 great grandsons, Oliver, Greyson, and Messiah; 2 sisters, Karen Estep (Steve), and Ingrid (Mike) Isaac; and many nieces and nephews. Kenneth retired in 2000 from Wisco Products in Dayton, Ohio, after 36 years of service. He was known as a very hard worker. Kenneth took pride in every aspect of his life, valuing family first and foremost. He enjoyed many hobbies and had passions for gardening, canning, fishing, hunting, woodworking, cards, baseball, bingo, and bluegrass music. Kenneth will leave an everlasting imprint in our memories and hearts. Visitation will be held from 3 – 5 P.M., Friday, April 21, 2023, at the Dalton Funeral Home, 6900 Weaver Road, Germantown, Ohio, with a funeral service to follow at 5:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Frankie Hunt. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 22, at Goebel-Vance Cemetery, in West Liberty, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for the preservation of Kenneth’s beloved mountain home place to: Down Home, 2708 Shiloh Lane, Goshen, KY 40026 or to Gretta Judd, 8516 Dayton-Germantown Pike, Germantown, OH 45327.
