Everyone who met Kevin Charles Creith was blessed to learn many valuable lessons from him; these lessons always included staying positive in the face of any challenge, finding humor in every moment, and how to explode a turkey on Thanksgiving day--mushroom cloud and everything!
Kevin taught us all resilience, perseverance, and just how to be a good human being through rides to softball games and practices, offering advice no matter our crazy situations, and throughout his long battle with diabetes and heart disease. We all learned time and time again to never give up, and we should never lose our integrity and love for life. He would always take in any family member who needed help as well, teaching us the importance of going out of your way to care about others.
Kevin enjoyed hanging out with all of his family members, especially his wife, fishing, yelling at the Saints and Redwings, and trips to New Mexico. Kevin is survived by his wife, Isabel Creith; his kids: Erin "Charlie" Brockhaus, Katelyn "Katie-Kate" Creith, Lacey "Sase da Creets" Creith, Kevin "Partna" Creith, Jr., and Haley "daddy's baby girl" Creith (all nicknames that he gave us). He is also survived by his parents, Bill and Rosemary Creith, and his siblings, William Creith, Carla Creith, and Rachel Creith.
Kevin was born in Trenton, Michigan on August 17, 1963, and he passed in Slidell, Louisiana on June 4, 2017. He watches over all of us with our little sister Ciera.

I understand the full meaning of emotions being physically heavy. This world lost a great man and the best dad. He loved his wife and his family. I'm so proud to call you my brother.

All the Van Ripers are standing with the Creiths in their unspeakable sadness. We wish we could be there to honor Kev's life, but we are with you in our prayers and thoughts and memories of good times and laughter. No more struggling, no more being hooked to a machine, no more fighting to have a little bit of normal. Kevin, you have gone before us, but you will continue with us.

So sorry to hear about Kevin's passing. Although I have been away from Slidell for some time Facebook has allowed me to keep up with family and friends. Kevin caught for me on the Salmen baseball time. A great guy he will truly be missed. Rest In Peace my friend.
