Kevin Feggins Obituary

Kevin Stephon Feggins, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, departed this life on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on April 21, 1993, to Howard Feggins and Kathy Boyd Morgan.

Kevin was a proud 2011 graduate of First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach, VA. He was employed with Lowe’s in Norfolk, Virginia, for more than eight years, where he faithfully served as a Department Manager. Kevin truly loved his work and took great pride in his responsibilities. He looked forward to going to work each day and consistently gave his very best.

Kevin was a warm-spirited young man who genuinely loved life and cherished time spent with family and friends. He shared an unbreakable bond with his mother, speaking with her every day as a reflection of their deep and unconditional love. During his earlier years, he especially enjoyed staying with his grandparents and often spoke fondly of his grandmother’s cooking, which brought him great comfort and joy. His hobbies included playing video games, watching football, collecting Pokémon cards, and enjoying his treasured memorabilia.

The bond between Kevin and his godfather, Uncle Bill, was immeasurable. Their connection began at birth and remained strong throughout his life. It was Uncle Bill who lovingly gave Kevin his middle name, symbolizing a lifelong relationship built on love, guidance, and unwavering support.

Kevin was truly raised by a village of love—family, friends, mentors, and community members who poured into his life, supported him, and helped shape the man he became. That village remained a constant presence throughout his life, and he loved them deeply in return.

Kevin had the heart of a teddy bear—gentle, caring, and full of love. He embraced life with joy and carried a spirit that uplifted everyone around him. His loyalty to his family was unwavering, and he found his greatest happiness in moments shared with those he loved.

He connected easily with others, forming friendships effortlessly. His warm, radiant smile could light up any room, bringing comfort, laughter, and peace to all who encountered him. Kevin enjoyed playing games and creating memories filled with fun and friendly competition. He was also a proud and devoted fan of the Las Vegas Raiders, cheering for his team with passion and excitement.

Kevin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Boyd; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jonny Feggins; his aunt, Marilyn Harris; and his uncle, Michael Boyd.

He leaves to cherish his memory of his loving mother, Kathy Boyd Morgan, of South Hill, VA, and his stepfather, Ron; his father, Howard Feggins, of Norfolk, VA, and his stepmother, Renea. He is also survived by his brothers, Kaleb Boyd of Portsmouth, VA, and Jensen Feggins (Lauren) of Castle Pines, Colorado; his uncles, Robert Boyd Jr. (Charlene) of Tampa, FL; William Heard (Sheryll) of Virginia Beach, VA; Raymond Harris (Toni) of Holly Springs, NC; Eugene (Phyllis) Feggins of Kenbridge, VA; and Christopher (Yolanda) Feggins of Richmond, VA. His aunts include Carol Boyd (godmother) of South Hill, VA; Barbara Boyd (Steve) of Silver Spring, MD; Tracey Pearson of South Hill, VA; Sherry Feggins of Durham, NC; and Angela Feggins of South Hill, VA

He is also survived by his childhood and best friend, Brian Lee of Smithfield, VA, and his beloved godson, Matthew Lee, whom he adored and spoiled. Kevin also leaves behind a very dear friend, Michael Jackson, of Portsmouth, VA, along with a host of cousins, extended family members, and cherished friends.

Though Kevin’s time with us was far too short, the love he shared, the joy he brought, and the memories he created will live forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May his gentle spirit rest in eternal peace, and may his light continue to shine through all whose lives he touched.

A Celebration of Life honoring Kevin will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 3906 Highway 903, Bracey, VA.
