Kim Jones

1956 - 2026

Kim Jones, 69, of Perryton, Texas passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026 in Amarillo, Texas.  There will be a book available for signing at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026 and from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2026.  A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Ochiltree Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Philip Hudson.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Kim was born on August 15, 1956 in Amarillo, Texas to Ehrman Thomas and Geneva Ann Bettes. She met her husband Johnny Jones while working together in Amarillo in 1977, and they later moved to their home in Perryton.

Kim was a devoted wife and mother and would do anything for her family. She loved nature and animals and would never miss a trip to the lake or mountains. She worked at the Perry Memorial Library for over eleven years and loved reading. She especially loved Bible study and had a close personal relationship with God.

Kim is survived by her husband Johnny of Perryton; one daughter, Marlee Jones of Perryton; two stepdaughters, Cari Harp and her husband Merrill of Dumas, Texas, and Alisha Vieths and her husband Rick of Amarillo, Texas; her mother, Ann Bettes of Hugo, Oklahoma; one brother, Mike Thomas and his wife Debbie of Durant, Oklahoma;  two grandsons, Austin Harp and Hayden Harp; and many beloved nieces and nephews

Kim was preceded in death by her father Ehrman and her mother-in-law Elsene Sparks
