Lani Arms

1987 - 2026

  Lanetta L. “Lani” Arms, age 38, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026 at her home and surrounded by loved ones, following a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer.  She was born October 23, 1987 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Gregory S. Lewis and Annetta M. Rawlins Lewis.  Lani was a 2006 graduate of Jackson High School and later received an Associate’s Degree in Allied Health from Daymar College.  She was a medical assistant and formerly employed by Adena Health Systems and Jenkins Clinic in Wellston.  Lani’s loving and caring personality was felt by everyone around her and her smile would light up a room as soon as she walked in.  She enjoyed dancing, going to concerts, kayaking, and most of all, she loved watching her daughters play in all their sporting events.  Lani had a strong Christian faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coalton. She is survived by her husband with whom she was together for 14 years, Aaron Arms; daughters, Ettaleigh “Ellie” Arms, Addelynne “Addie” Arms, and fat baby bulldog, Luna; parents, Greg and Annetta Lewis; brother, Steven Lewis; sisters-in-law, Amy Long (Jeremy) and Felischa Shotts; brother-in-law, Jerrod Arms (Tatiana), as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends, including many children who considered her “Mom”.  Lani was preceded in death by her grandparents, William F. and Loretta E. Rawlins and Daniel Eugene and Rita Savey Lewis.  Calling hours will be Friday, January 23, from 2 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will be Saturday, January 24, at 12 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Rawlins officiating.  In keeping with Lani’s wishes, cremation will follow the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions be made to a college fund for Lani's daughters at any Wesbanco location.  A Celebration of Life gathering will be announced by the family at a later time.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
