Obituary

Larry's Obituary

     Larry Joseph Slone, 54, of Ransom, KY, passed away Friday, November 7, 2025, at his residence. Larry was born October 25, 1971, at South Williamson, KY, the son of Joseph Wayne Slone and Joyce Gail Hensley Slone of Hardy, KY. Larry is preceded in death by his stepparents, Tom Sesco and Ruby Slone and his father-in-law, Eddie Hager. Larry was a coal miner working for CAM Mining, a veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of the Samaria Primitive Baptist Church.

     Besides his parents, Larry is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Slone, his son, Jonathan (Katelyn) Aldana of Harold, KY; his sisters, JoAnn Slone of Hardy, KY, and Kimberly (Manny) Diaz of Indianapolis, IN. Larry is also survived by his stepsisters, Anita (Bruce) Spence of Jackson, OH, and Tina Sesco of Inez, KY; stepbrother, Danny Sesco of Ohio; mother-in-law, Delphia Hager of Ransom, KY; his fur babies, Izzy, Maxx, and Flossie. He also leaves behind a host of loving family and friends.

     Larry’s visitation will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 6 – 9 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with special services at 7 PM.  Funeral services will follow Thursday, November 13, 2025, beginning at 1 PM with Lee Dotson officiating, in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will follow in the Willie Jake Hager Cemetery, Ransom, KY, with his family and friends serving as pallbearers. Belfry Chapter #141 DAV will conduct military services.  R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, KY, is serving the Slone family.  Online condolences at www.rerogrsfh.com.
