Lauren's Obituary

Lauren A. Schummer passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the age of 36. She was born to her loving parents Mike and Ann Schummer on November 6, 1987, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Lauren was the beloved wife of Sean Tapocik for 3 years; cherished mother to their beautiful children: Camden and Sophia Tapocik; and treasured sister of Andy (Valerie) Schummer and Nick Schummer. In addition, she was the dear daughter-in-law of Janet and Steve Tapocik; devoted sister-in-law of Michelle (Ben) Helmers and Erin (Andrew) Perry; and loved aunt of George, Owen, Emily, Tyler, Matthew, Ellie, Jacob, and Francie. Lauren also leaves behind precious four-legged companions: Roofus and Iris, along with numerous loving friends and coworkers.

Lauren was compassionate healthcare professional. As an occupational therapist she connected with her patients by providing them with support and tools needed to regain independence. Beyond her professional achievements, Lauren was a dedicated athlete whose commitment inspired those around her. Above all, however, Lauren was a devoted wife and mother. She embodied the true essence of love and selflessness. Her love knew no bounds and she put her family first.

Lauren will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, genuine warmth, and legacy of love. She will be missed tremendously by all blessed enough to have known her.
